Our automotive-grade etched foil Polyimide (PI) heating film (Kapton heater) adopts precision etched alloy foil sandwiched between two layers of polyimide film. We supply both Yellow PI film and Amber PI film to meet different customer material standards.

Thanks to ultra-thin construction, outstanding flexibility and stable thermal performance, this heating element is widely adopted for car heated seat, seat cushion heating sheet, automotive seat heating system for passenger vehicles, EV & new energy cars.

Structure: 3-layer sandwich structure – Top PI Film → Middle Etched Resistive Circuit → Bottom PI Film

Manufacturing process: PI film rolls and metal foil rolls are laminated via hot pressing and then cut into sheets to form metal-clad PI substrates. After the metal-clad PI substrates are etched, an additional layer of PI film is laminated on top.

During lamination, temperature, pressure and line speed must be precisely controlled to achieve bubble-free and wrinkle-free lamination, while ensuring the bonding strength meets specifications.
